Getting cash
- ATMs — use bank ATMs displaying UnionPay / Plus / Cirrus logos; withdraw RMB with your home debit/credit card. A foreign-card fee usually applies.
- Bank counters & airports — exchange cash; rates at airports are worse — exchange a little there, more in the city.
- Hotels sometimes exchange small amounts.
Spending without cash
