Why visit
Chengdu is famous for the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, relaxed teahouse life, and Sichuan cuisine (mapo tofu, hotpot, gongbao chicken). Itโs also a gateway to Jiuzhaigou and Leshan Giant Buddha. For dishes see Sichuan Food โ.
Getting around
- Tianfu (TFU) and Shuangliu (CTU) airports; metro connects both to the center.
